Two towers set over fourteen and sixteen stories, Bézier's sculpted curves stand out amid its surroundings. Within Bézier's curved walls, the interior design has incorporated porcelain tiles throughout the suites and in the living areas and bathrooms for the apartments.
7,000 square metres of 800x800 cream floor tiles were specially made in China. 1,500 square metres of specialist tiles were chosen from Italy. All Tiles were supplied by Topps Tiles Contracts Team with adhesives and grouts chosen from the Norcros Adhesives range along with the Norcros Permalayer® anti-fracture membrane as part of the Specification.
For the wall tiling in the bathrooms and ensuites, Norcros specified its One Part Flexible White adhesive; being flexible, water resistant and non-slip the adhesive was ideal for the job in hand and the colour was especially suitable for the light-coloured contemporary tiles.
Throughout the bathrooms, ensuites and the living areas of the apartments, the floor tiling was completed using Norcros Permalayer® system for the surface preparation with Norcros Thick Bed Stone & Porcelain Adhesive. Given the plywood base, the Norcros Permalayer® anti-fracture membrane offered the safest preparation option to accommodate background movement, it could be quickly tiled with Norcros Thick Bed Stone & Porcelain Adhesive ideal for fixing large format tiles and it was ready for grouting in just 3 hours. Grouting was completed with Norcros Flexible Floor & Wall Grout in Anthracite.
Alan Saunders – Head of Contracts & Trade for Topps Tiles said “This was a prestigious project and Topps Tiles were delighted to meet all the requirements to the specification set by the client in the supply of tiles and adhesives from the Contract side of the Topps business. Norcros played a big part on behalf of Topps on this project, deliveries were prompt and Topps were delighted to see full representation on site throughout the whole process by Norcros representatives; Norcros demonstrated a no-nonsense approach when it came to last minute changes or deliveries to meet the tight deadlines set.”
