Headley Court is a Rehabilitation Centre run by the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity. Located in Surrey, the £8m complex houses a superb 5 lane, 25 metre swimming pool, two gyms and a research centre. It provides crucial physical rehabilitation support for wounded servicemen and women.
Norcros Adhesives and Topps Contracts were delighted to take a part in this prestigious charity project as Help for Heroes is Topps Tiles chosen charity. The project entailed 1500m² of tiling for the pool surrounds, changing rooms and the foyer area, with all tiles supplied by Topps Tiles.
Norcros Adhesives specified the Norcros Wet Seal Tanking System to prepare the backgrounds in the shower areas and the pool surrounds. This brush applied tanking membrane is specially designed to provide a waterproof barrier for tiling installations subject to intermittent and frequent wetting; allowing tiling to commence 24 hours after application.
Norcros One Part Flexible Adhesive was used for the wall tiling. With built-in flexibility, this white adhesive is easy to use, water resistant and non-slip, and suitable for most types of tiles. Norcros Rapid Porcelain Tile Adhesive was chosen for the floor tiling; with this adhesive the tiles could be walked on and grouted just 3 hours after fixing.
Norcros Stop Mould Flexible Grout white was used for grouting the wall tiles. Its anti-bacterial, fungal resistant and flexible properties making it the ideal choice. Norcros Floor and Wall Grout grey was specified for the floor tiles due to its flexibility, water resistance and ease of application.
