Norcros Adhesives supplied their Mosaic and Marble adhesive to fix glass mosaic to the new stair wells at Waterloo Underground Station.

Main contractor, Costain Ltd required a combined adhesive and grouting product into which the sheet backed glass could be bedded and jointed using the same coloured material. The colour chosen was RAL 7001 and Norcros pigmented their best selling white material to meet the specification, turning the whole order round in just 72 hours.

The tiling was undertaken by WB Simpson,whose Contracts Manager, Matt Pearson commented, “this was a unique requirement that could have caused unacceptable delays but we were very impressed with the speed at which Norcros were able to respond – right down to making and delivering the last bags to finish off the job”.

Bespoke colours are not unusual to Norcros who recently despatched 4000 bags of RAL 2007 grout to the Dubai Airport contract.
