Norcros Permalayer - Independent Tests Reveal An Outstanding Result!

Permalayer

Norcros Adhesives is delighted that their new Permalayer™ exceeded the requirements of BS 6399-1 1996 Loading for Buildings as confirmed by independent test house, CERAM.

Joanne Booth, Manager of Structures Group for CERAM Building Technology commented “The Permalayer™ decoupling membrane allowed maximum floor loadings in excess of those given in Table 1 of BS6399 to be applied to a timber floor construction and a green concrete floor with no damage to the ceramic tiles.”

Mandy Searle, Technical Manager at Norcros Adhesives says “The Permalayer™ system provides a clear workable solution for our customers. The 2mm membrane has advantages over a plywood overlay when considering floor levels, it’s ideal for green screeds and concrete, undertile heating and timber floors and, when used with the recommended Norcros adhesives, it will carry our lifetime guarantee.”
