![]() |
Against strong local and international competition, H&R Johnson won a multi – million dollar contract for the supply of tiles and adhesives to the new terminal construction, Concourse 2 and Terminal 3 at Dubai International airport. The tiles, which have been specified from the Kerastar floor, Prismatics and Architectural wall ranges are being dual sourced out of the U.K. and the Johnson Philkeram plant in Greece. A complete adhesives and grouting system is also included within the scope of supply as are background preparation products. A one part flexible white adhesive and a high performance Johnson Professional epoxy grout form the two principle products within the fixing specification.
Commenting on the
success, H&R Johnson's Middle East manager Pieter Van Herpen says “ this
contract award marks the first major international breakthrough for
the new Johnson tile and adhesive partnership. It was important to the
design consultants to achieve a high level of performance and technical
support for both the tile and adhesive, and this we have been able to
achieve with the combination of our product groups.”
